Spelling Words Policy: Students are told that there will be homework assigned Monday-Thursday; However, homework is not assigned on Friday. There may be times that students are given long-term projects in addition to their daily homework. These projects will correlate with units of study done in class.
Students Record their assignments: During Morning work procedures, students are expected to copy down their assignments into their agenda. It is their responsibility to copy down their everyday. Each day I initial their agenda once they have recorded that day's assignments.
Reading Log: Each student is given a reading log. Every night, students are expected to read and record their reading in the reading log. I encourage children to read both independently and to an adult at home. Reading logs are due on Friday.
